I saw my mom in my dreams recently. It was not a dream I particularly liked because she was still bed ridden. However, one thing made me happy was that she still had a smile on her face.
This reminded me of her every smiling face through thick and thin, through struggles and tribulation, through sickness and distress. No matter what the case was, my mother had a smile through it all.
There are times the testings of this life make us want to give up, sometimes they seem unbearable and we want to just whither and die, but if we engage ourselves in the things of the Lord and put a smile on her face and face each trials with a positive attitude, we will eventually be victorious.
There are those who may say, but we have nothing to smile about. There is always something to smile about, identify it and move on. With the help of the Lord, things will be better one day.
This 'Loss Of A Mother' site is dedicated to anyone who has lost a mother. Have you lost your mother? well join me in this effort to keep our mothers alive in our hearts and to remember their unfailing energy and strength to nurture and care for their children. (In Memory of Norma)
My Aunt's funeral Reminded Me Of My Mother!
One of my dear aunts died recently and it brought back a flood of memories of my dear unforgettable mother. The coffin was of the same colour as my mother's own and just by looking at it even brought tears to my eyes. It still seemed like yesterday when she passed away.
Her strength and courage are still etched in my mind as I continue to be marveled of how she took care of all her children without the help of a man.
I still remembered her continuous humming of her favourite songs, praising her God. She was a special woman, she was strong, she was invincible and she was my mother.
May her soul rest in peace.
